to purify water (97% energy efficient)
2. The 670 kWh* yearly energy savings from using a GE
Homespring system instead of an Ultraviolet (UV) unit is equivalent to
approximately three weeks of all power usage in an average home, with
approximately 403 kg (890 lbs) of associated carbon dioxide emissions

3. When used to replace the use of 1 liter containers of
bottled water, the GE Homespring not only significantly reduces the cost of
water per liter, it also can reduce annual plastic disposal for a family of
four by 54 kg (119 lbs.) and reduce annual Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 162 kg
(357 lbs.). In a 500-worker factory or office, it can reduce annual plastic
disposal by 9,250 kg (20,392 lbs.) and reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions by
